Nearly every 30 seconds a human being will be abducted and trafficked for various reasons, the most diabolical of which is for sexual slavery.
While the show goes on and the taxpayer monies are squandered by our impotent leaders passing resolutions they know can’t succeed…
Virtually nothing will be done to stop or even try to stop those who are perpetrating the abduction of those human trafficking victims some of whom will be abused beyond any sense of what humanity understands.

Yes, this is what we’ve come down to.
While our millionaire-club leaders and their billionaire media-giant-owner abettors sell us a crock of s–t so ridiculous they’ve had to dumb-down education in America for decades to be able to accomplish it, some of the worst things imaginable are going on right under our very noses.
No. It’s not climate change.
No. It’s not that the world is going to end in twelve years.
No. It’s not that we have a Republican President.
No. It’s not all the phony-baloney crap incessantly being eructated about him over the airwaves and in our Congress.
It’s not that white supremacy is gaining ground, because it isn’t, that’s just one of their prevalent myths.
And it’s not that we are somehow more of a racist country than we were twenty or thirty years ago.
That’s just what they, the despicable Dems and their billionaire media-owner abettors would have us believe.
It’s much worse than any of that.
First and foremost, it’s the diabolical nature of the billionaire-owned media moguls who have monopolized and consequently weaponized the media. These are the people who own organizations like Facebook, Amazon and Twitter, to name just a few, who have bought major media outlets to advance their own personal and political interests.
The continual and blatant media bias is perhaps the single most dangerous thing we face today in our society. Once the media inclusive of the Free Press stop seeking truth and start picking political sides thereby presenting a biased, political narrative, we find ourselves no better than a Third-World country in the throes of propaganda.
The second most dangerous thing going on in our society is the weaponization of the Justice Department and other governmental agencies. This was done for the very first time in modern times in the Obama administration where the attorneys general were political animals serving at the behest of a Democratic president that allowed the IRS to target political enemies. Remember Lois Lerner? She got a pension.
Within this politically weaponized Justice Department, the FBI has been allowed to selectively target the people it wants to get and to prosecute only them. When the laws are enforced selectively and not uniformly, it is not really law at all. Martin Luther King Jr. said this.
So while the Kabuki Theater goes on on TV conducted by our barrel-of-monkeys leaders, at the rate of nearly 2 per minute, how many people will be trafficked?
Yes, that’s a math problem most Americans are probably not able to solve anymore because of the dumbed-down education they’ve been getting. Certainly they would probably not be able to solve it without their electronic equipment.
The despicable Dems and their billionaire media-owner allies are leading us into what looks like the setting for the Hunger Games series of movies, that affluent gated city controlling the impoverished and enslaved districts.
On some level, it looks as if this is what they, those despicable Dems and their media-mogul allies would have.
No matter how you slice it, it ain’t pretty.

Mary was feisty when she came back upstairs. Bill was in the midst of traying up the potatoes. As always, he used both hands and was able to grab the potatoes two at a time in each hand. Once done, he would carry the tray of potatoes over to the steam table and transfer them into the pan that was there waiting for them.
He did not feel Mary sneak up behind him and given the regular noises of the kitchen including the hustle and bustle of the dishwashers busy making sure they were ready to start the meal, he could not hear her. But he felt her hands slide around his waist and then lower. Then he felt her kiss him on the back of his neck.
“I’m taking you downstairs,” Mary said. “Before the lunch starts. So hurry your damn ass up.”
Bill doubled his speed as best he could by moving his hands more quickly. Then he and Mary disappeared down the stairs while Henry Lee was greasing the grills to start cooking off the hamburgers and bleus they would cook ahead for the start. Tommy had not come into the kitchen yet. He was not due into the kitchen for at least another fifteen minutes or so.
She took him by the hand into the ladies room. She locked the door behind them. She sat herself up on the counter, unbuttoned her dress from the bottom and slid off her underwear.
“I’m getting you before that hussy does,” said Mary. She bent her knees and put her feet up on the counter then slid herself as far as she could toward the edge. “Go to work white boy,” she said.
Bill waited for Mary to go up first then followed behind her shortly afterward. He did this in case Tommy was already in the kitchen. But he wasn’t and things looked slow since Henry Lee and Bea were sitting out in the hall.
The back door was open for air from the outside to blow in through the screen door. From what Bill could see as he came up the stairs, it seemed like a really nice not-quite-spring day.
Bill went directly into the kitchen. He walked down the line and checked everything out. He opened things on the steam table to peek inside and make sure everything was the way he wanted it. Satisfied, he walked to Bea’s station and even though he wasn’t hungry he took himself a cocktail shrimp, dipped it in cocktail sauce and popped it in his mouth. Finished the one, he took a second and then a third.
Around back where Mary worked, he looked inside all her ovens. A fresh prime rib was in one. It still had hours to cook. The round was in another. It was done. He looked at it, decided whether he should take it out now or wait till later. He had enough from yesterday to start with so it was not needed yet. But he didn’t want to get caught in the midst of a rush and have to take the time to get it out then.
So he took Mary in his arms and kissed her. He kissed her softly at first and then more deeply. Then he gave her a soft feel on her butt and asked her to help him get the round out.
“Boy,” Mary said, “you done good but I want more.”
Bill smiled at Mary. He would’ve told her he loved her but they were in the kitchen and the walls in the kitchens at both the East and West stores had ears. So he held it to himself, threw her two oven mitts, grabbed up two for himself and opened the oven door.

It’s unbelievable, actually, what they want us to believe. Our leaders are so FOS that it is positively scary. And it’s getting worse. It’s not getting better.
Our leaders are worse than a barrel of monkeys. Or, on some level, they represent the worst in all of us but dressed in the best clothing. They go to show that if you look good and you speak well you can say and do anything and get away with it as long as you’re rich and not subject to the very laws you make.
We truly are entering into a new era in our country. It’s the wild west all over again only the marshals and sheriffs use laws and regulations instead of six-shooters. They bludgeon us with bills, try to baffle us with their legalistic jargon and ram through any old crap they want with no sense of honesty, integrity or even common sense. Worse, they lie, cheat and steal then make us pay for it.
In all, their biggest sin is hubris. They really believe they are all that. Then, they lie without any sense of conscience or remorse thinking they have done no wrong because they know there are no repercussions.
It’s all about power. And that shows how they’ve lost their way.
Sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin anymore when talking about our leaders. Personally I’m awed by how they get away with what they get away with. That one of our representatives can say with a straight face the world will end in 12 years if we don’t do something about climate change… Really? What’s to say to that?
The earth has been around for 4.53 billion years. We’ve only been tracking the climate since the 1880s and have only been tracking the weather and temperatures since the early 1900s. What do we really know? That is a serious question, not a sarcastic one.
Anyone with real perspective and an honest and open mind regarding climate change has to admit that the majority of the research on the topic has been skewed by government funding and government pressure. It was even further prejudiced by Loretta Lynch who ordered the states attorneys general to prosecute scientists whose results did not corroborate what the government wanted them to be.
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my.
Like in the wild west, we are entering into an era of lawlessness. Or we are entering into an era where the government has weaponized its agencies to discourage, even prevent, opposing political views. No matter how you slice it, the Obama administration set it up to stack the odds for Hillary Clinton and to prevent a Republican from winning the office of the presidency. It used the IRS and Lois Lerner, and of course it used the Justice Department. Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch are the two most biased attorneys general the United States has ever seen. The career people in Obama’s Justice Department targeted whoever they wanted as opposed to whoever might have broken the law and they chose their targets by political bent, race and religion.
The media has bought into it. The media today is now openly biased. That is mostly because the major media outlets are owned by a few very rich people who are personally anti-Trump.
No matter what side you’re on, the biased media is the most dangerous part of what’s going on in the era we’ve entered into.
Make no mistake about it, we’re pretty far astray and way beyond politics. We are approaching absurdity and about to squander the resources and power of the greatest country that has ever existed.
And it is mostly because of the barrel of monkeys who lead us, our lawmakers, who scamper about looking for bananas so they can keep their power, who’ll say and do anything just for those bananas.
Well, maybe we do get what we deserve. Even more frightening, maybe this is the best we can do.

When she came in, Arlene looked at Bill somewhat shyly. She was not the first girl in. Norma was in first and then Lexi and then Victoria. This meant Arlene was the last girl in and so Bill knew she would be the girl who worked straight through.
She came into the kitchen in her civvies with her coat already open. She wasn’t flashing anything and was careful not to. She drew herself a cup of coffee and went out into the side dining room after saying a quick hello to each of the kitchen staff.
A moment after she’d gone into the side dining room Bill followed out behind her. He found her sitting in a booth all by herself.
Before he sat down he scoped out the whole dining room to see that it was set up. From what he could see, Arlene did not have any work to do except maybe check that everything in both dining rooms was ready to go. He could see Norma filling salt and pepper shakers. She was standing at one of the bus stations, had all the condiments on one tray.
“I only have a moment,” he said. “Everything okay? Speak to your mother?”
Arlene sipped her coffee. “Everything’s okay,” she said. “My mother’s okay for the day. She has some help coming in and she told me she wasn’t in much pain. Her not being in pain is a consolation. I hate it when she’s hurting.”
“I spoke to Tommy. He’s gonna to see what he can do. He said it’s tight here, but he had some other ideas and some friends he said he could check with if he can’t find shifts with us.”
“Thanks,” Arlene said.
“I’m glad I could do something. I’m glad you chose to speak to me.”
“Maybe we can speak again.”
“Any time.”
“Good.”
“You don’t owe me anything, you know.”
“I didn’t think I did.”
“Good.”
Arlene smiled at Bill and reached out her hand to him. He let her take his hand in hers and stroke it as she did.
“You know I want to get with you,” she said.
“That’s one of the things we can talk about,” said Bill. Then, “I gotta go back to work,” he said.
“See you through the meal,” Arlene said.
Back in the kitchen Bill set up the steam table. Everything from the back was ready and waiting for him to put in place, so he quickly filled the bain marie with water and set the holders and inserts in place. Then one by one he carted the items Mary laid out onto the line.
That done, Bill went downstairs to start carrying up the supplies. The first few trips were the frozen items. Only when he was satisfied they were all plentiful, did he go into the meat room.
Henry Lee was busy making the hamburgers and bleus. He’d already ground all the meat needed and cleaned up the grinder, its parts and the blade. Bill took a sip of bourbon and then fell into place next to Henry Lee. Together, they weighed and formed the hamburgers, then stuffed the bleus with the smelly bleu cheese Bill could do without.
All those things finished, they went into the deep freeze to smoke a joint.
Mary was waiting for them on they came out. First thing, she told Bill he needed to take the baked potatoes out of the convection oven. Then, she asked if they had another joint. Henry Lee went with her into the deep freeze. Bill went into the walk-in box and started carrying up the meat he knew they needed for the lunch.
Before he made his last trip, before he even started to deal with the baked potatoes that were done, he took himself a long drink of bourbon. Then he popped another black beauty.

Quite propitiously, at least for here, Jeffrey Epstein, owner of the Lolita Express mentioned in part one, has been in the news. He’s more of a side issue, as it were, since the mainstream media is only interested in going after President Trump’s Labor Secretary, Alexander Acosta.
Is that a surprise? Or is it a shocker? Is it more important for the mainstream media to get the president than it is to actually begin to deal with the issue of human trafficking?
Altogether this is a quintessential question in America today: is it more important for the Democrats and the mainstream media to bring down this president than it is for them to take care of the American people and the business of the country?
The paradigm of absolute honesty and morality calling for Acosta’s resignation is the wonderful Debbie Wasserman Schultz, you know, that scandal-ridden leader of the Democratic National Committee during the last presidential election. She’s the one who refused to turn over their computers to the FBI, effectively impeding them from investigating the Clinton e-mail scandal. She’s the one who employed that Pakistani “family” accused of stealing computer secrets.
You can’t make this stuff up. In fiction, simply put, no one would believe it.
Acosta was a major player in a deal that allowed the known pedophile, Epstein, to get off with a sentence basically, actually much more than basically, unbelievable.
“Epstein was accused in 2008 of organizing a network of underage girls to engage in sex acts at his Palm Beach waterfront mansion. Epstein also allegedly enlisted girls to recruit even more victims, some of whom would travel with him on his private jet to New York and his private island resort in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
“Under the terms of the plea deal, Epstein was convicted in state court of soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. But a Miami Herald investigation by reporter Julie K. Brown in November noted that the allegations against Epstein were originally much broader, accusing him of coercing dozens of underage girls into sex acts.
“The Herald reports it was able to identify 80 victims—many between 13-16 years of age at the time—who said Epstein had sexually abused or molested them between 2001-2006. Eight of them agreed to be interviewed by the Herald, four on video…
“…Instead of a lengthy sentence that could have resulted from the 53-page federal indictment he was facing, Epstein pleaded guilty to two prostitution charges and served 13 months in Palm Beach county jail, where he was allowed to leave on work release for up to 12 hours a day, six days a week.
“The agreement worked out by Acosta ‘essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe that had already discovered 36 victims and could have unveiled other powerful participants in Esptein’s sex crimes, the Herald reported.’ ”
So the real thrust of all of this, today, for the Democrats and the mainstream media, Debbie Wasserman Schultz leading the charge, is to get Acosta and thereby to get Trump, Trump because he hired a guy who made such a deal in 2008.
Make no mistake about it. If Acosta was involved in such a deal, he should not be Labor Secretary. Period.
Whether or not Trump knew about it, is another issue. And whether or not Acosta broke the law is even another issue.
But the Miami Herald now identifies about eighty Epstein victims. Herein is the real story and herein is where the thrust of the media attention should be placed.
So the real cover up still goes on.
This should be about Epstein, about human trafficking, about sex trafficking and about the magnitude of the trafficking problem. But what it’s really about is a cover up.
President Clinton rode on Epstein’s Lolita Express twenty-six times, a known fact. He didn’t use that airplane for transportation. Many, many other prominent people are listed as friends and/or associates of Epstein’s, President Trump included.
But you can bet that if Acosta and Trump were not associated, the cover-up would still be totally covered up.
And that’s the real problem.

Being a cook with a heart was the kiss of death too.
Having a heart seemed to always get Bill into trouble. Sometimes that trouble worked out okay. But sometimes it grew so large that his life was completely changed. That’s what happened when his heart reached out to the poor kid, not even 135 pounds, who was being beaten by the six FBI guys. They weren’t arresting him. They were literally beating the shit out of him.
So Bill jumped in, and now, instead of a teacher or some other sort of professional, he was a cook.
If he thought about it long and hard enough, even at his tender age of just over 20, he could recall multiple times when giving in to his heart’s impulse had caused him more trouble than it was worth.
If he thought about it long and hard enough, his pattern was clear. He’d been taught to put other people’s needs ahead of his own. So in a nutshell, over and over and over again he made choices that reflected putting himself in second place, choices which consistently did not serve him well.
As a result of this pattern, although he did not know it on a conscious level yet and would not understand it until much later in his life, Bill was always needy. He did not know he was needy. He had needs and he had impulses but he did not know them as needs or impulses. He didn’t consider himself needy or impulsive and he did not know, not really, that these were disorders. Worse, he did not know how to control them.
So he did what he did. Usually he did it on a day-to-day basis as events unraveled. And then he was high most of the time which clearly impaired any sense of judgment.
He was young and stupid. But you couldn’t tell him he was young and stupid. There was no accounting for youth or stupidity.
When one is young and stupid one doesn’t consider the consequences of things. Generally, and this was the case for Bill, he thought he knew things and he thought the things he knew were right. He thought, and this was a real kicker, things were black and white. Only later in life would he come to learn that most things aren’t black and white, that almost all things are really gray.
So he followed his heart with that waitress that first night when he was a busboy, when he accidentally spilled the soup on the customer and the waitress, trying to right the situation, got called a cunt by the customer. That got Bill really mad and even though he needed the job, even though he was totally down and out and broke, so poor he was borrowing rent money from his brother from month to month, he went on and spilled the rest of the soup on the nasty SOB. That got him taken off the floor, and it would’ve gotten anyone else fired, except that he knew Robert and Robert was protecting him. Robert, it turned out, was a great protector.
The waitress was very thankful and bedded him down. Mary would remind him that that was his first waitress pussy, and he couldn’t deny that. He could only say that he hadn’t been looking for it, hadn’t really wanted it. But being young and stupid the little head won out in the end.
That little head was a monster. It caused him to do all kinds of things he might never have done if he hadn’t been thrust into the kitchen world.
Heart! A cook with a heart could be a boss’ nightmare. He gave away pie when he knew he shouldn’t. He gave away steaks and sometimes prime rib too. He became friends then friends with benefits with Lorraine, and now it was Arlene.

Henry Lee came in at ten. By that time Mary and Bill had everything they needed to do just about done. Or, as it went in kitchens, everything they needed was either completed or still cooking. The only things left to do for the lunch meal were to set up the steam table, put the potatoes to baking and make sure all the ice boxes were filled with enough materials to get through the meal. So, as per his usual, Bill made another mental list, this time one regarding the pickerel, French fries, fried shrimp and onion rings. This list told him what he needed to bring up from downstairs.
He was not ready to go down yet but he did check the meat cooler, the reach-in box opposite the Garland. Looking at the steaks inside, he completed the materials list so that now he knew everything he needed, altogether, everything he and Henry Lee needed on the line for the lunch.
Mr. Bowman, the owner, was getting off easy. He should have replaced Mr. Jim. He’d been cheap and he was working Henry Lee and Bill way too hard. Sometimes now, if they got really slammed, Mary had to come onto the line to give them a hand.
This might’ve been all right if they’d gotten a better raise. As it was, they got increases, but Mr. Bowman was still making out like a bandit. Bill had talked to Robert about it but Robert had told him that there was no way they were adding staff. The east side was sometimes a drag on the economy of both restaurants although when the Buckeyes were playing at home they more than made up for not always keeping pace.
So just after Henry Lee got in, Bill took a moment to stop and have another cup of coffee, his third. He took it with him as he went out to the dining room and over to the front office. Coffee in hand, he knocked on Tommy’s door. Tommy said to come in. Bill did so and closed the door behind him.
“Got a minute?” he asked.
“What’s on your mind?” Tommy said.
“I wanted to ask a favor of you. About Arlene.”
“Don’t tell me you’ve gotten yourself into trouble.”
“No, not at all,” said Bill. “She needs more shifts is what it is. Her mother’s sick and she needs the money. Drenovis is being a shit.”
“We’re pretty tight,” Tommy said. “Off hand, I don’t think there’s much I can do.”
“What about over on the west side?”
“What’s this got to do with you?” Tommy asked.
“Nothing. I told her I’d see what I could do. I was hoping you could do something so that I didn’t have to ask Robert.”
“Don’t tell me you’re messing around with her too. Please don’t tell me that.”
“Not that it’s any of your business, but no, not yet. I spent last night with her. We talked a lot about life, about her mother being sick. I’m only telling you this because I’m asking a favor of you. I’m asking you not to tell anyone either, except maybe if it helps her get her shifts. Her mother has cancer and she needs some pretty serious medical stuff. Arlene’s in a tizzy. I can’t say I blame her. So I’d really appreciate your giving this some attention.”
“I always knew you were an easy touch,” said Tommy. He smiled at Bill. “I’ll make some calls. If I can’t get her shifts with us, I’ve got some friends who could probably use a part-timer. Then I’d make sure we coordinate so she can work the extra time.”
“I always knew you were a manager with a heart,” Bill said.
“Yeah,” said Tommy. “Having a heart as a manager is the kiss of death.”

We don’t hear much about the child trafficking business in America or in the world altogether. In fact, people could get killed talking about it, trying to expose it and reporting about it. In fact people have gotten killed trying to expose it and for reporting about it.
One wonders! One would think especially the Democrats, you know, the supposed champions of the downtrodden, would be jumping all over the human trafficking issue/problem. After all, it is the modern form of slavery and sexual exploitation.
Isn’t that what these so-called moral-elitist Democrats claim they so detest? have always detested and fought against?
But actually they’re only self-proclaimed champions and then they only advocate for something when it fits into their political interests. The story in Virginia exemplifies this clearly. Something has to fit into their political narrative in order for them to advocate for it or take umbrage against it.
The Trump-opposers, these Dems and socialists who claim their moral superiority, mocked the President when he reported about the human trafficking issue at the border. In their arrogant and demeaning way, wreaking of their better-than-thou, condescending attitude, they joked that the President had seen what he was talking about in a movie and was now presenting it as real.
Lions and tigers and bears, said they.
Turns out, and it’s no surprise, that the President was correct and his facts are real facts. One in three women coming toward our borders in those caravans, toward that border where they say there is no crisis, are sexually assaulted, abused or raped and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Turns out that the trafficking issue as a crime in the modern-day world is every bit as big, if not bigger, than the drug problem. Worse, the product of it, human beings, unlike drugs, is easier to ascertain and individually much more profitable. Furthermore, there are so few criminal prosecutions for trafficking that overall and in every regard it is well worth the risk to the traffickers.
So let’s get this straight. Let’s get a real understanding of the situation before actually looking deep into it.
Sexual exploitation is covered up, sometimes applauded, overlooked, apologized for, and/or generally regarded as some kind of less-than-terrible type of crime. This is so because many prominent people are somehow involved in it. Prominent people’s involvement keeps it secretive and un-discussed.
We, the tax payers, paid more than seventeen million dollars in settlements for the very secretive Congressional slush-fund. Unwittingly, we covered up our lawmakers’ sexual indiscretions.
Similarly, former President Bill Clinton took twenty-six rides on the Lolita Express owned by Jeffrey Epstein, a known pedophile. Clinton ditched his secret service people for the rides. Up there on that plane, it’s all about underage girls.
Then there’s Harvey Weinstein and Roman Polanski and about two hundred fifty other prominent people who’ve been accused of sexual misconduct (at its least) and rape (at its worst). Many of these people are media giants, major celebrities and lawmakers, so most of these prominent people go unpunished and/or relatively unscathed by their actions, actions which very often destroy their victims’ lives. Then they keep it all hush-hush.
Human trafficking and child trafficking are parts of this very secretive and relatively un-discussed issue. Trafficking as a crime, is very big business, but with all the prominent people tangentially involved in some realm of its sexual aspects, there are few prosecutions for it and it somehow remains low-priority. It has even become fodder for scoffing and ridicule, as the Democrats have now shown.
It gets much worse. Much worse.
Trafficking is inherently tied into our own child welfare system here in America. This is another reason it stays so under the radar, mostly unreported and hidden.

Bill went into the men’s room to get dressed. He had not put on his used underwear from the day before, so he had no underwear on. It was, in the scope of things, just a minor inconvenience. He reminded himself, and he had meant to do this many times already, to put a full change of clothes in his car to have there.
When he came out of the men’s room he heard Bea and Mary talking. Bea was telling Mary that he had no drawers on because he went into the men’s room to change. Mary was telling her she didn’t care, that it was none of her business. They both had a good laugh at it. But first thing, Bea asked him if he’d been home. Bill said no, that he’d spent the night with Arlene and they should both get their minds out of the gutter because it was nothing like they were already imagining.
Bea guffawed.
Mary shook her head.
They all went upstairs, Bill walking behind Bea and reaching up her kitchen dress all the while up the stairs. He managed to cop himself a good feel, and when the feeling got good, Bea stopped and just stood there for him so he could continue feeling her.
“Damn, boy,” she said. “You all should have started that before we came upstairs. I’d have taken you into the party room and given you a party.”
“It’s never too late.”
“So let’s turn around.”
“I’ve got things to do. So do you.”
“Don’t think I won’t catch up with you later,” said Bea.
First thing Bill did when he got up on the kitchen floor was take a cup of coffee. Mary did that too and Bea was right behind her. Then they were all there, Bill and Mary standing on Bea’s station, Bea sitting on her stool like she always did and starting into reading the racing page in The Dispatch. Also like always, she asked if they wanted to play numbers or lay down a bet on the horses. Bill played numbers for both him and Mary, but neither he nor Mary made any bets on the horses. They never did.
While they stood there, Bill and Mary did an inventory of the things in Bea’s reach-in. They checked the chocolate pudding, the rice pudding, all the pies and the boiled shrimp. Doing so, they each made a mental note of what they needed to cook for over there. Bill knew that Mary was making a mental note because once she looked away she told him that they needed to make rice pudding. Bill replied that he thought the chocolate pudding would make it through the day. He also said that he thought they ought to run shrimp salad as a special to get rid of the old cocktail shrimp. Mary said that that wasn’t a bad idea.
And so it went.
When they finished their coffee, Bill and Mary headed to the back prep station. Bill looked in Mary’s walk-in where he could see the leftover round. He could see there was plenty to start off the day with, so he took a moment and went through the entire walk-in box to see what was there and what needed to come out to get used up. That done, a new mental note in his head, he came back out and headed down the stairs without saying a word to Mary.
He was speeding pretty good now. But he was still tired and he knew he needed to sleep. He knew sooner or later he would have to crash and that was never a happy moment. Before he got the round to carry it upstairs, he took himself a good, long swig of bourbon. Then he popped another black beauty, one he’d been keeping in his pocket.

Man is by nature selfish and greedy. My first father-in-law used to say this when I was a kid, just in my early twenties. He also used to say that when the National Debt exceeds the Gross National Product the government will be bankrupt.
Well, the first part of what he said is so absolutely true that it is almost incontrovertible. But because I was an English teacher for more than thirty years and because I taught Forensics (Debate) for about eleven years and coached my high school debate team for that same amount of time, I won’t say it’s a fact. No matter how true it seems, it’s still an opinion. It was his opinion and it is my opinion, and the thing that frightens me most is that saying it is like pissing in the wind because no one wants to hear it and the words just seem to dissolve into nowhere.
The selfishness and greed is manifested by mostly everyone, but the rich and famous are the ones we see it in more regularly. So, for example, we rarely see those welfare, food stamps and Social Security recipients who the taxpayers are supporting as they drive around in their new Mercedes Benz automobiles which they can afford because they have no expenses and work off the books too. These people make more than many of us who support them and hide their money. They wear all brand name clothes and pay cash for everything so as not to leave a trail. Many of them register their cars in a relative’s name so as not have a trail there too.

We see it in those beggars in the street too. Not all of them of course and that’s the problem. You can’t easily discern who the real needy are. If we could easily distinguish between the scammers and the needy, not only would we have plenty of money to help the needy, which everyone in America wants to do, but we could start trimming that National Debt which in and of itself is an obscenity.
But man is by nature selfish and greedy.
Now I know you’re not supposed to use the word man. I know there are some states where I could be arrested for using the wrong gender pronoun. Yes, arrested and either jailed or fined or both! (I also know that that is not a complete sentence.) It is precisely such ridiculousness in the hands of the selfish and greedy politicians that has brought us to the absurdity we see each and every day in America, the greatest country in existence today.
Rich and greedy? Start with the Clintons. They are the most obvious. Move along to the Whoopi Goldbergs and the other celebrities who said if Trump was elected they would leave the country. Why are they still here? They’re making lots and lots of money, not piddly money but real money to the tune of millions and millions, by selling their hatred and warped opinions while exemplifying perfectly the notion that man is by nature selfish and greedy. Move along to the Al Gores and DiCaprios, those epitomes of true conservation.
And on and on.
Nope. Man is by nature selfish and greedy. President Obama somehow increased our National Debt by ten trillion dollars in a mere eight years. For the life of me, I can’t see where the money went. Can you? I only know that if we don’t wrestle the power from the selfish, greedy politicians and if we continue down the path we are on, our selfishness and greed will be our demise.
FYI: Interest on the National Debt for Fiscal Year 2017 was 277 billion dollars. That’s more than half the total Defense Budget was. What has our reckless spending gotten us? What is it costing us?
