Fun with words and words for fun

And so it goes. Errands and chores and clean up and workout and it is another day. February 2nd, already. It seems yesterday was new years. It seems yesterday my child, my beautiful special child, was a baby. Now she is getting close to twenty.

The government is closed. It is filled with career politicians whose main goals are to enrich themselves and gain power. Our founders were all farmers who didn’t want to remain in government. They wanted to serve a term, or terms, and then go back home. Their goals were to enrich the nation, ensure its success, and then pass their positions on to someone else.

My my. Is anyone surprised by the change?

Look to people like Elon Musk. He is a visisonary. The other visionary makes this political. I don’t want it to be policital. However, it is Donald Trump.

Think of the times America was growing, the times we were purchasing land and moving westward. Only Republican presidents nowadays see the need for us to control our hemisphere, protect our borders and our citizens and build our military so Russia and China dare not even think of challenging us. Yes. Trump sees all this, and in the larger picture he is a visionary for America, closer to what our founders were than anyone the Democrats could put in his place.

And Mr. Musk. He will take us to Mars. He will build a city there. He has built the electric car that sets the standard. He makes parapalegics able to move using some kind of electric signals to the brain. We will have personal robots to do our work for us…and on and on.

Forget the BS our politicians nowadays throws at us. Think. Simply open your mind and think.

Trump and his people are not Nazis. If they were, all their Democrat adversaries would be dead or imprisoned. The Anti-Trump media would be silenced and we would hear only what he would want us to hear.

I have firsthand knowledge of people who were in concentration camps and my father was a POW in Nazi Germany for three and a half (3.5) yeas until he was repatriated.

Think. Think. Think. Consider who you are, what skin color you have, what language you speak, what God you pray to. If it is not the one China or Russia or Iran want it to be, you will be gone in one way or another. If Trump were a Nazi you would now be the ones in concentration camps, or even worse, in ovens.

The education our people are recieiving is teaching them not to think. I say THINK. THINK. THINK.

They say the leopard does not change its spots. We as a species, homo sapiens, a subspecies of the genus homo, do not change our spots either.

We are the only species that kills for sport. We are the only species that hates others of the same species because of differences in color or beliefs.

We rule the planet earth only because of 2 things: opposable thumbs and the ability to reason. Our reasoning cababilities certainly need some scrutinization when we come up with things such as “I’d reather be dead than red” or “I’d rather destroy the United States to implement [what is a flawed] ideology,” or even more genius beauties like “defund the police” and “cashless bail.”

We are a month into this new year, one-twelfth. Our government is shut down at least for the weekend. The Democrats, only because they control the media, manage to press for the most ridiculous policies, policies which defy logic, even sensibility. They operate in hyperbole and in the flawed rhetorical pattern of “all or nothing.”

Apparently, we will not change our spots.

We live in a wild time. I’m beginning to think we’ve always lived in a wild time: the wild, wild west, Chicago during Prohibition, all the wars throughout time, today’s mass shootings and terrorist attacks.

We are a hateful people as a race. We are selfish, coveting, mean-spirited. Man, by nature, is selfish and greedy.

In Philosophy 101, the simplest, most basic philosophy course, they teach that we are supposed to temper such behaviors with our rationality. Of course we don’t.

So here we are. 2025 is about to turn to 2026. The Bible, regardless of what form of it one beleives in, has been chucked out the window by many of us. Others pervert its content to mean what they choose it to mean. Yet others, suffering from their own arrogance, wage war on those who do not beleive as they do. And still others, suffering not only from their own arrogance but from hubris as well, have scuttled the most fundamental principles of logic, history and research to present the rest of us with dishonestly created would-be facts to support premises they know from inception are untrue and unsupportable.

Is there hope? I don’t know. But if there is hope, it lies in charity, in the belief that if we all do good, good will happen. Hope for us also resides in simple memory and honestly-drwan contexts.

My father was a prisoner of war (a POW) in Nazi Germany for three and one-half years during WWII. Those who call our President a Nazi, have no idea what a real Nazi is, or if they do, they choose to define Nazi to fit their own selfish interests.

Some of those of us fortunate enough to have been born in the USA, perhaps the greatest county of all time, have forgotten why America is the greatest of all countries, or if they haven’t forgotten why, their own personal dishonesty and self-interests cause them to represent the USA as no different from the totalitarian countires and forces that would terminate its very existence and force its people into subjugation.

As one year ends, marking now a quarter of the century gone by, and a new year begins, let us think of doing good, of being charitable, of being honest and believing in univeral truths greater than our personal self interests. Such simple thoughts and actions will lead us to what constitutes hope for all of us.

Read A Message Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Once Sent to a ...

I fear that if MLK Jr. were alive today…

Well, let’s first say that he must be flipping in his grave to see what has become of the legacy he personally created.

I believe he would be asking “his people” if Al Sharpton was the best person they could find to lead them.

I believe he would be asking Jessie Jackson whatever happened to him.

I believe he would be asking Barack Obama if that was the best he could have done. I believe he would be imploring Obama to find a new path that would less serve his own interests and more serve his people’s interests.

So here we are on his day. And they, the lefties, will pay extravagant but fake, yes phony, homage to him as if they believe what they are saying, which clearly their actions show they don’t, while they continue to rape the very people they portend to support and champion.

And so it goes.

me today

I saw an ad this morning for an on-line degree. It said no tests, no homework, life experience credited.

It meant, pretty much minimal effort, minimal work. And that means, most surely, minimal learning.

From way back when they’ve dumbed-down schooling, from public school though college and even through some grad schools.

Pay the money, get the letters next to your name.

Voila.

They are betting that in today’s world if you do it their way, you will vote for Joe Biden and people like him.

They are betting that when you see buildings burning and police precincts and vehicles overturned and destroyed, you will believe them when they tell you it is not violence.

They are betting that when you see what happened January 6th you will believe them that it was an armed insurrection when only one weapon, a sidearm, was found and when one unarmed female veteran was shot by them in cold blood.

They are betting you will believe them when they tell you that America’s greatest threat is right-wing domestic terrorism.

They are betting you are stupid enough to believe what they tell you over what your eyes see.

And so it goes.

me today

You know, sometimes.

Sometimes we just get a good look at what we are.

In these last six years now, if one bothers to take the time to see what our leaders have done, it is absolutely flabbergasting. And it ain’t pretty.

And so it goes?  No, it shouldn’t. It shouldn’t go this way at all.

I could lay it all out again, but why? Half will believe one way, half another, and the lefty half will do what one of my cousins did publicly on facebook, call me dangerous and make a big to-do out of de-friending me there for all her friends to see.

Whatever gets you through the night. The social pressure for her must have been great.

What we are, take a look.

So I could write a rant. Why bother?

Still, two notations here.

First, the righties say the Biden progressive left have done more in a year to destroy America and democracy than anyone since the 1930s. They wonder if America can survive this attack, if our democracy can survive it.

Next, the lefties say if we allow the right and Trump to regain power it will destroy our democracy and freedom.

This is what they say and all they say.

I say, are you free now? Can you voice a right-wing point of view without being called a racist (and more) and having to fear for your job, your home, your life, your business?

Is any of this what we elected any of our politicians to do?

me today

So it’s a new year. I don’t put much in new years and here in my family we don’t’ do anything for New Year’s eve. But here we are. It doesn’t feel much different from last year. Covid is still here and currently raging. Our leaders on the left are still as stupid and dishonest as they were last year, maybe more so. We are still not getting the truth about Covid. We are still in the downward spiral, ever surrounded by those “leading” us by force of power rather than by wisdom, logic and concern for our well being.

And so it goes.

Still , happy new year to you all. I truly hope that the turn of the year and the upcoming days bring you happiness, fulfillment and peace.

Once again, here, new things to come and new things to explore.

me todaySo here we go again, Covid restrictions and travel bans. While the would-be president speaks today about it, he is letting in more than 200,000 people per month as illegal aliens and all those who are “gotaways,” 25 percent of whom have Covid.

What bullshit.

And then there’s Hunter Biden and his connection for more that 10 million dollars to a Chinese energy company, and of course to Russia too. Any wonder this would-be preseident (we wonder who is actually controlling things) curtailed our energy production and cheerfully increased Russia”s?

What the f…

My oil delivery was up $1.14 per gallon from last year, or more than $150.00 for the fill I just got.

Go Joe. You’re so on our team.

Natural gas, heating oil, gasoline, electricity: prices out of control

Store shelves empty

Oppression of normal, everyday citizens: FBI investigations, IRS audits based upon political stance, justice department labels as domestic terrorists, all while criminals, illegals and leftist anarchists roam free

Taxation without representation, more like unapproved redistribution of wealth

Suppression and censorship rampant

me today

You know, there comes a point where you have to let it all hang out. I don’t know if I’m there yet, but I’m sure feeling like it. So I’m going to go in another direction for awhile.

I’ve written some rants dealing with our wonderful commander in chief who continues to amaze us with how truly wonderful her is—at completely destroying America. These rants will continue. Rants will continue as a whole. What truly does amaze, no kidding, is how one person can be wrong so much of the time and get to be president where he continues to be wrong almost all the time.

Rant for within this piece is that I had an oil delivery the other day and the cost was up one hundred-fifty dollars from the last delivery. That’s a tank a month now for the winter, or six hundred dollars of the stimulus money that we got just for the winter, more like a thousand dollars more for the year if the prices stay where they are, which they won’t since Biden has no brakes and the price will continue to go up. Then electric is up twenty dollars a month or another two hundred and forty of the two thousand, and gas is up twenty five a tank, which is another hundred a month at least. Not to mention food and clothes and staples. That’s twelve hundred and a thousand and two-forty and everything else. Gee, I didn’t really get a stimulus, did I?

Oh well, lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

I’d like to talk some—I don’t know how much—about me and my life.

I don’t for a moment think that my life is special in any way. Quite to the contrary, I’ve always thought of  myself as rather ordinary. But then as an ordinary  man I get the sense that my feelings might be somewhat representative of a lot of ordinary people’s feelings and I think there’s something important in recognizing and addressing that shared connection.

It should be clear, if it is not already, that I do not ascribe to the subjective me, which is the me being taught nowadays as in my feelings are tantamount to anything and everything else. I feel like a girl today so I’m a girl today.

No. I do not believe in that bullshit. I do not believe I am what I feel. I believe that I have many feelings and that I am a composite of my actions rather than of my feelings.

That which our kids are being taught today is garbage, pure and simple. I learned that about ten years ago when I was covering a class doing the lesson that the teacher had left and a kid said to me that he didn’t want to learn that. He then told me what he wanted to learn.

Well…long story short, a principal heard that kid as he passed by the room and later told me I should have taught the kid what he wanted to learn and  if I wasn’t so close to retirement he would write me up for my behavior.

Two plus two equals four, all the time. It’s not relative. And what that kid wanted to learn was also not what needed to be learned at that moment to be part of this society and succeed within it.

Sue me for my beliefs. Call me a domestic terrorist.

More pure bullshit they are shoving down our throats.

Lot s of it these days.

Anyway, in other parts of my writings and especially in my fiction I’ve written about and used for subject matter those things in my life that have affected me most. They are not extraordinary things, only things that are part of me and that have made me who and what I am. They are things that happen to a lot of people.

Someone whose life was extraordinary was my father, Nathan. He was three and a half years a POW in a Nazi prison camp and came back to no services from his country, yet he loved this country to death.

Extraordinary.

To be continued…
